| The main objective
of the National Productivity and Economic Development
Center (NPEDC) is to participate in the national
development process by making efforts to increase
the pace of industrialization and productivity
improvement in the country through planning, research,
consultancy, training, seminars and information
services.
The NPEDC has set out the following functions
for realizing its objective.

To develop mass awareness for productivity
improvement. |

To promote productivity in industry
and related economic activities. |

To render study, research, training
and consultancy services for productivity
and quality management. |

To undertake studies on policy planning
and programs in industry and related
sectors. |

To function as the secretariat of
the National Productivity Council,
Government of Nepal. |
|
To function as the National Productivity
Organization (NPO) of Nepal and the
Liaison Institution of the Asian Productivity
Organization (APO). |
